III International Meeting for the Prevention of Blindness in Developing Countries

General Guidelines

   - Oral communications' objective is to present an NGO or a project related to the prevention of blindness.
   - June 20th, online abstracts submission opens.
   - September 20th, online abstracts submission deadline.
   - All abstracts must be submitted electronically.
   - Official languages are Spanish and English.
   - Abstract submission is open to any International Institution, NGO, professional or student involved in the prevention of blindness.
   - The person presenting the oral communication should be first author on the abstract.
   - Oral communications will be limited to 5 minutes.

Content and Formatting

Each abstract should contain a sentence stating the study's objective (unless given in the title); a brief statement of methods, a summary of the results obtained and a statement of the conclusions, if pertinent. Use a short, specific title.

Preparation

   - The title will be limited to 120 characters.
   - The abstract text should not exceed 1500 characters.
   - Do not skip lines between paragraphs.
   - Do not include the title in the abstract file. Do not include authors and affiliations in the abstract file.
   - The presentation will have a maximum of 7 slides, including the one with the title.

Affirmation Statements

You must check each required affirmation statement to confirm that you understand and agree to any requirements set forth in order to have your submission considered for presentation. The affirmations are:
   - I acknowledge adherence to the rules and scientific validity of the presentation.
   - I acknowledge the contents of my abstract cannot be perceived as marketing a specific product.
   - I acknowledge that the first author is expected to pay the registration fee and to do the presentation during the meeting.

Notification

   - Print/Save the page of your submission. This will serve as acknowledgement that your abstract has been submitted.
   - An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you in three days time.
   - All presenting authors will receive e-mail notification of abstract acceptance and scheduling no later than September 30th. If you have not received your acceptance by September 30th, please contact by e-mail at info@visionmundi.org.
   - Notices will be sent to presenting authors only. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to inform all co-authors of acceptance status and abstract scheduling information (if accepted).
