Dear friend:
Everyday, more institutions and people all around the World are aware of the necessity to decrease
blindness in developing countries, as a way to improve their chances to get rid of poverty in the future.
On the other hand, we must face important difficulties, such as massive figures of blind people and limited human and economic resources.
We are herein pleased to invite you to participate in the Second International Meeting for the
Prevention of Blindness in Developing Countries, in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain.
We would like to be a Forum were you could:
- Know some of the best International Eye Initiatives to prevent
blindness in developing countries, that could be taken as a reference.
- Improve your skills to treat the main tropical eye illnesses.
- Find a meeting point were Spanish and foreign NGOs and professionals
interested in the prevention of blindness could meet and co-operate.
We’d also be happy to share a few days with you, enjoying together discovering this ancient region
of Spain, La Rioja, home of the Spanish language, compulsory stop at the Route to Santiago and home
of one of the best wines in the world.
See you in Logroño.
